On October 18, 2021, the Tbilisi Architects and Sculptors Association hosted a scientific conference dedicated to Georgian sculpture at the Merab Berdzenishvili International Culture Center, 'Muza'.
The conference was part of the project Sculpture during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Forum of Contemporary Sculpture, within the framework of which an exhibition-forum of contemporary sculpture was held.
Academician and architect Vakhtang Davitaya opened the scientific session. The scientific staff from the Giorgi Chubinashvili National Research Center of Georgian Art, History and Monument Protection participated in the discussion.
Speakers discussed the history and current state of Georgian sculpture. Scientists also evaluated the artistic worth of the artworks on display at the exhibition.
