On July 2, 2025, a public lecture by art historian Tamar Belashvili was held at the Giorgi Chubinashvili National Research Centre for Georgian Art History and Heritage Preservation, titled 'Invisible People.'
The event was held as part of the project “Ghani” organized by the Tbilisi Association of Architects and Sculptors. The project’s central theme is: 'Love – the Path to Deification.'
The lecture focused on the memory-based, manifesto-like, and social functions of contemporary art. Through selected artistic examples, Tamar Belashvili explored how contemporary artists express their stance toward social realities and what expressive forms they use to communicate with society.
In line with Goethe’s words – “The artist perceives the world only in relation to the human being” – the lecture emphasized how the human being remains the central focus of contemporary art, even as its forms constantly evolve.
The event concluded with a lively discussion in which participants of the “Ghani” project and members of the audience actively took part.
