Organized by the Tbilisi Architects and Sculptors Association (TASA) with the support of Tbilisi City Hall, the Sculpture Festival 2025 was held for the third time, once again highlighting its significance in the development and promotion of contemporary Georgian sculpture.

This year’s festival featured a content-rich and diverse program that combined exhibition projects, educational activities, and platforms for professional exchange. Participants included emerging authors and young artists alongside professional sculptors, creating a space for intergenerational dialogue, the sharing of experience, and creative interaction.

An important component of the festival program was the exhibition for school-aged participants, “The Future Sculptor,” aimed at fostering interest in the field of sculpture among young people and supporting their creative potential. Within the framework of the festival, the professional reporting exhibition “Contemporary Georgian Sculpture – 2025 Exhibition” was also held, presenting current processes in contemporary Georgian sculpture, stylistic trends, and diverse approaches to working with materials.

The 2025 festival, which took place in November, once again affirmed its role as a platform where sculpture is understood as a living, evolving process, within the context of research, experimentation, and professional communication.

According to the TASA team’s assessment, the festival makes a significant contribution to the documentation and promotion of contemporary Georgian sculpture and will continue to remain one of the field’s important professional platforms.

All festival events were held at the Elene Akhveldiani Children’s Art Gallery (103 David Aghmashenebeli Avenue).
