β€˜Ghani’ β€” Open Competition for Young Artists

πŸ“£ Application submission for participation is now open - Learn More

Within the framework of the cultural and educational initiative 'Love – The Path to Deification', the Tbilisi Association of Architects and Sculptors announces the open competition 'GαΊ–ani'. The competition is intended for students and emerging artists and aims to inspire the creation of new artistic works based on the graphic form of the Georgian Asomtavruli letter 'GαΊ–ani'. The Georgian script is one of the most significant achievements of national culture and of humanity as a whole. Among the three Georgian alphabets, Asomtavruli stands out for its graphic monumentality and symbolic depth.

The competition theme centers on the letter β€œGαΊ–ani”, whose shape resembles an arch, a gate, or a portal β€” a space that unites the celestial and the earthly, the spiritual and the material. In addition to the graphic form of GαΊ–ani, participating artists are encouraged to incorporate other allegorical and symbolic elements related to the theme. They may also combine traditional techniques with modern technological approaches.
The letter 'GαΊ–ani' is presented as a medium through which value-driven themes can be expressed artistically β€” such as love, spiritual ascent, inner transformation, the idea of deification, and eternity.
